Here are some teasers for Kara and Rhett’s Wedding at Red Scooter, the mother and daughter photos are my favourite…
Tonya’s 18th Birthday Party @ Sixteen Ellis Street
This is my first post on Sixteen Ellis Street but I’ve been shooting there regularly for a few years now, it feels almost like a second home to me.
The bar at the front is one of my favourite backdrops for photos. I also love the low hanging chandeliers and the old leather couches, they create a great atmosphere for catching up with friends over a drink or two.
The red curtains and the mirrors in the main room always look amazing in the photos, but the booth seating area with the wallpaper is no doubt the centre of attraction at the venue.
I always look forward to seeing what food and cocktails they’ve got prepared for the night too, especially the dessert, love the presentation!
Here are a few snaps of the great party they organised for Tonya’s 18th.
Yvonne and Mark’s Wedding @ Old Treasury Building and Church 364
Yvonne and Mark had their registry at the Old Treasury Building followed by a lunch at Church 364 a few days later.
I love that Yvonne loves to laugh! I have so many photos of her looking so joyous on her special day! You can just tell from the pictures that Mark and Yvonne make each other so happy!

The newlyweds were surrounded by their fun-loving family and friends at their lunch at Church 364. I haven’t met a couple who care so little about the details of the reception, because all they cared about was enjoying the company of their closest friends and family!
The most touching moment of the day was when Mark gave his speech. I don’t think there were any females there who had a dry eye!

Yvonne and Mark, thank you for choosing me as the photographer for your special occasion. I hope you’ll forever make each other as happy as you did on your wedding day!
PS. Thanks for the best cupcake I’ve ever had!
Amie and Michael’s Wedding at Church 364 and Richmond Hill Cafe
Here are some photos from Amie and Michael’s wedding that I previously posted :
http://www.beautifullifephotography.com.au/blog/2011/10/09/amie-and-michaels-wedding-preview/
Amie and Michael had an intimate wedding celebration of 20 of their closest friends and family, most of whom had come down from Canberra (where Amie and Michael had originally been based) for the special occasion.
The ceremony was held at Church 364 in Richmond, a redecorated old Victorian house full of character and great photo opportunities. There was laughter and tears as Amie and Michael shared their touching vows which they had written themselves.
Our New Photography Studio in Point Cook
The new studio was another project that was put on hold due to our little man’s arrival. The room was used for airing laundry for a while! After much time and effort, we finally finished setting it up and had our first visits from our customers this month!
Many thanks to my hubby for all his help putting the furniture together and hanging up the photos!

Fathers Day with the Lees – Not Your Typical Family Portraits!
For Fathers Day this year, we had a get together at my brother-in-law’s place. It had been a while since we all last caught up so I excitedly brought along my camera, hoping to catch a few good photos of the family, especially of my little 6 months old Brenton and his 7.5 months old cousin Ethan. It did turn out to be an afternoon full of photo opportunities, but not the kind that I expected!
First, I wanted to catch a few family shots for Dave, Debbie & Ethan. Once I got them into position, I hurriedly snapped away before Ethan got distracted.
I was so focused on getting the shots quickly that, alas, only afterwards did I find out that I had missed a minor detail – Ethan’s button and fly on his jeans were undone! Oh well, I guess I did want some “casual” shots.
Next, I wanted to take a nice portrait of the three generations of the Lee “boys”, but I only managed to get an 83% happy photo.
Brenton was so unsettled by all the noise and fuss that he couldn’t stop bawling his eyes out! My poor little darling! Mummy so wanted to give him cuddles but Mummy had to take the photo, and he had to be in the photo!
After a short break, I wanted to try taking more photos of Ethan and Brenton. In my mind I was imagining both boys sitting together, flashing their beautiful smiles at the camera, a photo that grandpa and grandma would be proud to display at their houses. That turned out to be wishful thinking! With what I ended up with, I hope grandpa and grandma are prepared for something a little different on their walls!
I can’t even remember who started crying first, Brenton or Ethan, but when one started crying, so did the other! The more they cried, the more everyone laughed, and the more everyone laughed, the more they cried! Then Ethan started toppling over Brenton! It was all getting very out of control! At that point, I could no longer resist the big fat tears rolling down Brenton’s face, I had to surrender my camera and give him a hug!
The photos certainly didn’t capture what I expected, but nonetheless they’ll definitely be great for Ethan and Brenton’s 21st birthday party! Hopefully they’ll be in a better mood next time!
